CASL is introducing a new sport to our group of offerings. Ultimate frisbee has been requested by a lot of our members and I think it could be a great addition. We will play an 8 week season and then end it with a weekend double elimination playoff. The games will be played at Johnny Kelley Park at either the soccer field or the outfield of the softball fields. We will even play a couple games under the lights, to add some more excitement to an already fun game.

As with the rest of CASL sports, this is a social style league. The idea is to get out, have some fun, meet new people, and sprinkle in some friendly competion. The league is Co-Ed with 7 people on the field per team at a time. There must be a minimum of 2 from each gender playing throughout the game. The other main rule is that there is a zero tolerance for unsportsmanlike behavior. Everyone is going to work the next day and is there just to have a good time.

There is already a strong following for Ultimate players on the Cape. They love their game, but they want to see it grow. Mixing skill levels and understanding of the game can be tricky. Our thought is to have each person who signs up, give themselves a self evaluation of skill level. We will combine the seasoned Ultimate players, with players that are new to the game.

We want to get as many people playing as possible, so join as a full team, a small group, or as an individual "Free Agent". We will work on putting the teams together to make this a fun league for everyone. This game is about having fun, meeting new people, and enjoying some friendly competition. If you are not laughing, then you are doing it wrong. 

• Join as a Captain: Do you have a group of at least 7 that want to play in the league? Register as a Captain and you will be given tools  to notify and recruit players to join your team. We will round out your minimum 10 player team with free agents.
• Join as a Team Player: Use this registration option if you are recruited by a Captain to join their team.
• Join as a Small Group or Free Agent: Do you want to join the league to meet new people on your own or as a smaller group? Use this option. If you are a small group, be sure to all use the same group name, so that we will know to put you on the same team.

The fun doesn't end after the game, we will head to a local bar for some post game socializing. I am looking forward to this new addition to our sports and I hope to see you out on the field.
